I was Born in Hugoton Kansas but moved to Borger at age 2. Graduated from Borger High School in 1969. Graduated from Frank Phillips College in 1972. Completed my education for a BS degree in education at Panhandle State University in Oklahoma in 1974. Taught school in Tyrone Oklahoma for 3 years then moved to Amarillo where my mother and my youngest brother lived. Worked various jobs till I was hired to work in bookkeeping at Tascosa National Bank. Met my husband in 1977 we married in 1978 and this year (2024) will be 46 years.
In 1982 we welcomed our first son, Douglas who is also a Realtor with French and Co. Then in 1985 we welcomed our second son, Stuart who works as the Maintenance director at French and Co and also has his own contracting co. Along the way I found a teaching job at St Mary's Catholic School. Taught for 10 wonderful years. In 1996 Paul French, my youngest brother ask if I would get my real estate license so I could help him with his newly formed company. Our mother was already manning the phones for him. I studied and passed the exams to become a licensed real estate agent. Little did I know that my quest to be of assistance to Paul would turn into a 28 year career.
The best part of being a Realtor® is getting to be the one who helps buyers and sellers with one of the biggest decision in their live. Knowing that they trust me to find the answers is a great joy. Then making new friends who stay a life time is the precious bonus. We now have 2 grandsons, Caulin our first and Behr just now 2 yrs old and our princess Endee who is now 8 months old. Life has been wonderful. I love working with new home buyers because they are so excited. Working with sellers is challenging because the market always changes and you have to really be knowledgeable about current trends in prices.
Sometimes mis information that is out in the real estate world means you are being challenged about your knowledge so one has to know where to get the correct information to either, buyers and sellers. I have always worked hard to make sure all parties are informed. And some say I talk too much. But that's okay I'd rather err on the side of too much information as to leaving out essential information.
I now work mostly out of my home but am incredibly grateful to have a thriving office to meet customers and clients. If you know me, you know I will always have your best interest at heart. I like to teach my clients about real estate not just email contracts and text messages. However, I am adaptable to the choices of my clients.
